Prasanta K. Pattanaik is awarded a Carnegie
Centenary Professorship for Fall 2006 by the Carnegie Trust for
the Universities of Scotland
Prasanta K. Pattanaik (Department of Economics) has been awarded
a Carnegie Centenary Professorship for Fall 2006 by the Carnegie
Trust for the Universities of Scotland. Every academic year, the
Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland appoints one or
two Carnegie Centenary Professors from nominations made by Scottish
universities. As the Trust puts it, the “aim of the scheme
is to attract nominees of the highest academic standing who will
contribute to academic/ scientific developments in the Scottish
universities in their particular fields.” Stirling University,
Scotland, will be Professor Pattanaik’s host university.
During his stay in Scotland, Professor Pattanaik will give seminars
and lectures in various universities there and will do collaborative
research.
